Capturing
memories
Looking for natural light dog photography in some of the most scenic places in the North East? With a background in dog training and years of experience working with dogs of all ages and temperaments, I approach every session with an understanding of behaviour, movement and timing.
A Unique Approach
I’m not just a dog photographer; lots of people are surprised at how quickly their dog settles around me, and just how comfortable they get; this is imperative to get the best emotive and character shots.

Experience Matters
My passion is dogs and my mission is to create unique, high-quality portraits that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Whether your dog is a playful puppy or a senior, I have the experience and expertise to showcase their best qualities. I'll work closely with you to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. Every dog is different and having worked for over a decade as a dog training instructor, I find I'm uniquely qualified to help the shoot go smoothly.
I've specialised in dogs for more than a decade and my gallery features breeds of all shapes and sizes.
Most importantly I'm also capable of working with your dog even if some things in the world worry them...or over excite them! I work with you to ensure your dog is comfortable; before the shoot I'll ask about their traits, triggers and characteristics.
I'm currently guardian to five dogs. I’ve had a camera for as a long as I can remember, and dogs for longer. My current family consists of four working cockers (three boys and a girl) and an Irish rescue collie cross girl.
I'm no stranger to avoiding people on walks or taking two of the same toy out to play swaps. I've usually always got a pocket full of treats and a spare toy in the van.
There isn't many scenarios that I haven't worked through...including dogs that would find a stranger pointing a camera worrying or a dog that would prefer to herd me than listen to their owners. (honestly after such a long time and meeting so many dogs...I'm not phased by much).
A promise
to your dog
I don’t allow throwing sticks, stones or anything else that might injure your dog on a shoot - I’m also super careful when it comes to keeping your dog safe - including their joints...so we try not to do too much twisting and turning.
I’m conscious about senior bones and young bones so will always chat to you so I know your dogs capabilities and their limits. I also don’t allow the use of aversive tools on your shoot, this might be electric collars, prong collars etc. This is no reflection or judgment on what you do with your dog, it’s just my personal preference on a photoshoot.
I never book more than one shoot a day to allow me to work without a time limit. If your dog is still struggling - I say that’s fine, it’s not for them. It’s about the dogs welfare for me, not making sure I can send you an invoice.
